Hello and welcome to the new year, lovelies! I am so excited to start 2019 because I have so many projects going on, and I just can’t wait to start tackling them so I can bring them all out to you.
2019 Q1 Goals
I have a number of goals that I have set for the first quarter of 2019. I like making quarterly goals that basically have no deadlines except to get them done in the next three months. I find that when I make goals without deadlines, I am much more likely to accomplish them, because I don’t have the stress of missed deadlines and can complete them in whatever order I feel like. So here’s my first quarter goals:
- Write 2000 words per week, every week. This goal is nice because it is specific but also extremely flexible. I can write 400 words every day, or 1000 words over a weekend, and still have time to keep up with the laundry and watch the final season of Game of Thrones without feeling horrible that I may have skipped a writing day to do so.
- Finish the 3rd Draft of Utopian Melody. For those of you who may not know, I have been working on an Adult Urban Fantasy novel called Utopian Melody for several years now. I have been working slowly through multiple “edits” which I have found soul-crushing, to say the least. It has taken me a while, but I am about 30,000 words away from a third draft, and I really want to push through and get it finished this month so I can start in on the first draft of its sequel, Nether Harmony.
- 3 wedding-related goals. I am planning a wedding in September, and need to get things set up to make this happen. These include Caterers, Photographers, and finalizing clothing.
- 6 fitness-related goals. I have three weight loss goals and three recipes to learn.
I’m looking at a total of 11 Goals this quarter.
So tell me, how do you plan your time (year, quarter, month, week, day by day)? Let me know in the comments below!
